I have chosen to analyze the quote of Robert A. Heinlein. I fully agree with the expression of this writer and I truly believe that the most important is the moral responsibility of people. First person should be guided by his or her level of morality in the commission of acts and actions.

Morality is formed in the approval process, the development of moral attitudes and ideals, which are contained in the minds of people and expressed in public opinion. The rules of law are established or authorized by the State, officially are recorded in legal acts. Also it is worth to mention that morality regulate most of the relationship, unlike law, namely laws. Moral norms regulate relations, which are controlled and uncontrolled by state (friendship, love, etc.). The rules of law govern relations, which are state-controlled.
Moral norms regulate social relations from the standpoint of good and evil, just and unjust. The rule of law must also conform to these principles. But it does not always happen. It often happens that the legislature depart from these principles. So I support the opinion of Robert A. Heinlein that a person primarily should be guided by morality.

ОтветитьУдалитьI have chosen the quote of Cassandra Clare. So, I agree with the expression of this writer, I believe that no matter who are you, or who you want to be like – (the?) law is the same for all of us.
I would like to add some words which would have meant a complete thought. “It isn't against the Law to be an idiot.” – Cassandra’s variant. “It isn't against the Law to be an idiot. Nevertheless, this fact does not relieve from the responsibility” – my personal version of this quote. Imagine, what would happen with our society if everyone should be guided by this thought.
We often face with different situations, where people break the rules, and make something what they want. Constitution – the main code of rules in our society. Moreover, our Constitution does not relieve idiots from the responsibility, conversely, there is a special part devoted only for this group of people.
So, in conclusion, I would like to pinpoint, that law (does) not only apply rules for people, who have some problems with their consciousness –“idiots”, but there is part of Constitution devoted them.

ОтветитьУдалитьI would like to express my opinion about the quote of Hunter S. Thompson. I absolutely agree with him. Moreover, that issue is extremely topical today in Ukraine. Of course we cannot trust politicians, they are obligated to represent the nation, but instead of this, they are fighting in the Parliament and doing absolutely nothing. There are a lot of things about disrespect, corruption, shame, empty words, hypocrisy, pharisaism which are connected with modern Ukrainian policy.
ОтветитьУдалитьWe cannot speak about law and order in the state until we don’t want to respect each other, respect our culture and our past, our common past. How can we expect law and order from people who just want to steal as more as they can and hide abroad?
It’s the only one thing I still don’t understand more than “power abuse”. It seems like everyone in Ukraine knows how to rule the country, but they are already working as taxi-drivers, nurses, wipers or even men out of occupation. A lot of them don’t even have enough trivia knowledge to understand what’s really going on. Most people can only riddle, but they don’t want to change themselves. We are always complaining about our government, politicians, social standards and we blame politicians for all the ills. Where did they come from? They are the same citizens like you and me; therefore it’s easy to summarize: “Do you want to live in a good country? Be a good citizen!” And everything will be alright. Everyone will obey the law and pay taxes. Prosperity and welfare for everyone! Almost socialism…

ОтветитьУдалитьIt was pleasant to me because I think that is that case when speak: "there aren't enough words, but it is a lot of sense". People who express so the thoughts, are worthy respect.
I completely agree with this quote. It at all doesn't offend people with backward development or people with the broken mentality. In this case: the idiot - a metaphor. After all, it would seem in laws all rules of behavior are accurately registered in society, but happens that people don't understand or don't want to understand existing rules. People who the hands destroy the world and wellbeing. If such people thought before to make something - the evils would be less. But they don't do it. How to call them as not idiots?

I completely agree with this statement. The person himself builds the destiny, itself chooses, with what rules to him to agree and with what - No. the Person as the member of society forms behavior models by which his descendants, surrounding people are guided. And we call these models of behavior moral standards. The most important in the human relations - observance of norms of morals. Morals and the law always went and go side by side, so it developed historically. And today they act together. All laws protect ethical and moral standards. For example, the spouse is obliged to support incapacitated other spouse. Unless it not morals? Thus we will tell that the morals protect the human relations. The law protects the relations in the person of the state, applies sanctions in case of disapproval.
The person in the right to disagree both with morals, and with the law in the state. He can count them unfair, illegal. And here is how to fight against this injustice is a decision of each person.

ОтветитьУдалитьI have chosen the quote of Robert A. Heinlein. I don't think so, on this issue I have other thoughts. The writer described an anarchy, his thoughts cannot be real in society. The fact is that everyone is different and everyone has their own concept of "justice". Moreover, there is such principle of law: "human freedom ends where the freedom of another person begins". Thus, we must consider the interests of others, exercising our rights and freedoms.
Rules are created for universal compulsory execution. We cannot choose and stick to only those rules that we prefer. Rules are mandatory for our own good.
Besides morality in our society there are laws and rules. In addition to the moral responsibility person should have criminal or other responsibility for the violation of the rules.
I wish to add that we are not alone in our society, so we must coexist in harmony with each other.

ОтветитьУдалитьI don’t agree with this statement. Yes, we are free, the right to freedom is enshrined in the constitution. But it doesn’t mean, that we may do everything , that we want in spite of the laws. We cannot choose which laws to obey and which not to obey. The laws are generally binding for everyone, we all should respect them and obey them.
I agree, that person alone is morally responsible for everything he does, but don’t forget, that we are also accountable to the law. And if we do something wrong and break the law, we will be not only morally responsible for our actions, but also legally responsible. And we will punished for our criminal acts.
If we find some laws too obnoxious (it means, that they infringe on the human rights and legitimate interests, not because you just don’t like the law) we may try to influence the government and change some laws (for example, through the peaceful rallies and protests). According to the Constitution of Ukraine, the only source of power are the people.
