LYRICS

It’s My Life

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

[Chorus:]
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

This is for the ones who stood their ground
For Tommy and Gina who never backed down
Tomorrow's getting harder make no mistake
Luck ain't even lucky
Got to make your own breaks

[Chorus:]

Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down

[Chorus:]

  1. Tne world “ain’t” means negation,in different meaning,i think)
Frankie is the one who goes his way!
Bon Jovi’s Tommy and Gina are just people who never backed down and who struggle for life!
I can say, that this song is about those who live as they want, enjoying every moment in the life, and who dont want to be a like others, not to be lost in the crowd!
And in my opinion this sentenses represent the central idea of the song:"Better stand tall when they're calling you out
Don't bend, don't break, baby, don't back down
    "

  2. I really loved this song. I think that this song is about people who enjoy their life and they're free people who want to live while they're alive and to have a full colourful life.

As it says in "Englishman in New York"- be yourself no matter what they say.
