  4. "To Cut a Long Story Short" by Jeffrey Archer. The reason why I enjoy it is that there are 14 short stories on the whole and I do not have to bother myself with a long-lasting plot. In addition, every tail has a twist in it. This peculiarity makes me want to plunge into reading as swallow the book the sooner the better. Also, "To Cut a Long Story Short" reminds me very much of O.Henry who I consider one of the most eminent writers of the mankind.

  5. "Soul music" by Terry Pratchett. Why? Because "this is a story about sex, drugs and Music With Rocks In. Well... one out of three ain't bad". And it also contains such thoughts as: "It is said that whosoever gods wish to destroy, they first make mad. In fact, whosoever gods wish to destroy, they first hand the equivalent of a stick with a fissing fuse and "Acme Dynamite Company" written on the side. It's more interesting, and doesn't take so long". Who wouldn't like that?

  6. Vanity Fair: A Novel without a Hero by William Thackeray. In fact I re-read it. The story is full of humour, and I particulary like the way it is told. Sometimes I forget that action takes place in times of Napoleon, since the problems raised apply perfectly to today's society situation. Author's humorous style and the epoch portrayed provide the fantastic read.

  7. Now I am reading The Catcher in the Rye written by J.D. Salinger. Though this novel originally was published for adults, I think every one must read it. Hear the author in the name of Holden, the seventeen-year-old boy describes such problems as teenage confusion, angst, alienation, language, and rebellion. (Charskaya)

  11. After I read book by O. Henry "Cabbages and Kings"in the introduction author refers to the Lewis Carroll words that were written in "Alice in Wonderland". Which does not seem to me an interesting when I was child. So now, I'm rereading it,with new interest.

  15. Now I don’t read any book. But my last book was “Fight Club” by Chuck Palahniuk. It was my first familiarity with this author. I should say that I was disappointed by his work. Manner of writing is rude and the plot is not new. I don’t know why this author is so popular all over the world.

  18. At the moment I started reading the book "The Secret Doctrine 'by Helena Blavatsky. This is a book about the esoteric knowledge. I just started reading the first part of the first volume. Itself publication is including three volumes, and several applications. This book examines the various religious current, but not in the concept in which people used to see that. It's some of way to find the truth. Each person needs faith. I am unfortunately in the past few years, considered myself an agnostic. I do not deny the existence of higher powers, but does not believe in it if I cannot prove. But in this book describes the different concepts of all the religions of the world. Author made a definite conclusion during the study of various facts and theories. When this book will be read by me i will exactly know what this book is.

  19. Last week I finished Teresa Medeiros's "Shadows and Lace". I love her books for they are lovely, always end happily and entertain me greatly.
Now I'm reading Tennyson's "Idylls of the King" because I am to write a work about this cycle.
And in my spare time, I'd like to read Terry Pratchett, especially "Hogfather". It has a great deal of interesting puns, such as for example Mr. Teatime - Mr. Teh-ah-tim-eh, sleigh-slay... and things difficult to translate (e.g. ...and other things ending in "olly" etc).
