I really liked it!The political system of Canada is so knotty and incomprehensive,that even the canadians don't totally understand it.But it took the reporter only twelve minutes to explain it in simple and very funny way))
It took me 2 times of watching to understand how do the Canadian government really works, and I think that there is a kind of 'chain' by means of which the government functions. The British Queen formally stands at the head of Country. The official representative of the Queen in Canada is the Governor-General, appointed by the Queen on the advice of the Prime Minister. Governor-General has the major power in country. Presently in Canada this post is occupied by David Lloyd Johnston. (Not by the African-American lady from video). I thought that confusing governing system takes place only in Ukraine=)
I'm not really interested in politics,but I liked the reporter. He carried conviction and he was really funny. I think it is a good way to speak about government and so on.
Thank you for the video, it was really fantastic. I enjoyed it greatly. The reporter was cute and charismatic. He laughed at the stereotypes and criticized the political and social life in the country. Of course, I was stricken by his irony connected with the ignorance of the modern people. The theme of dogs is completely revealed. To my mind, his pointer was perfect and suited him so much.
This is a very interesting way to learn about the Canadian political system. I find it funny and at the same time informative. How else can you learn about such a complicated and intertwined system of government? In a very short amount of time (12 minutes) he entertains you and accomplishes to clearly explain the complex relationship between different parts of the Canadian government and the hierarchy of power within that system. I was impressed by political situation in Canada.Presenter criticizes the state of political affairs in Canada,but only some Canadians know that Canada is monarchy.It makes me suppose that Canadians are very busy or just don't care about political affairs in country.
I really like this absorbing and amusing video and the speaker in particular. He is very sweet and funny. And the way he speaks about the Canadian government is understandable enough. In my opinion this form of narration is more suitable and correct. I, personally, have become more information for these 1o minutes than if I had read a chapter of the corresponding book... I really like the repoter, he was wery convincing. Unfortinutly, I'm not fun of polotic, but if evry repoter do his job like Rick Mercer, I think evry one will enjoy politics events!
What a pity, that government doesn’t pay attention to their country and leaders are so busy, with more important matters like their dogs instead of their people. Of course it is sarcasm and cry with laughter, but it’s a real problem in nowadays, because such situations are happened not only in Canada, but all over the world! It is a real shame for modern life, and people do nothing, they think that they live in democracy, but don’t know how the political system works, we are blind!!! And of course, only one, that they and we now exactly – “God save the Queen!” I like this video. Rick Mercer is at one's best!
Despite the fact that the reporter observed very important and essential problems, personally I watched it with a smile. He needs to be a stand up comic. I want to watch more of his reports. And the way how he explains political system of Canada was rather simple and funny. I'm not interested in politics at all but if somebody offer me to explain about it this way I am listen to it with pleasure.(Пастушина)
